We absolutely loved our stay in the Speyside lodges! From the very beginning, Steven was incredibly helpful and friendly when I booked over the phone as well as when I made adjustments to my booking. The lodges are cosy, clean and very well-equipped, in a beautiful setting but also close to everything you need. Storm Amy got in the way of plans we had to get out and about but I think our whole group was delighted with the excuse to relax together indoors. Thank you so much for such a great stay, we will recommend to anyone visiting the area and will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay. The lodges were clean, very comfortable, and set in a lovely location. There are plenty of great walks nearby, making it perfect for anyone who enjoys getting outdoors, and it’s only a short stroll to find food and drinks, which was really convenient. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to relax and unwind we’d definitely recommend it and will 100% return.

Fantastic location, lodges have everything you need, the lodges are in a beautiful setting, with ducklings, fairy houses and stunning walks. Would 100% recommend.

We have been staying at Reuben’s resort Carrbridge formerly Fairwinds under previous ownership for many years and our recent stay was just as enjoyable and peaceful as all before with the benefit of refurbished chalets well equipped and clean. Local facilities include a shop, Local inn and cafe with excellent menus, the Landmark activity centre easy access to Cairngorms and forest walks from the doorstep. We will be back again and particularly recommend to families with children of all ages .

We (2 parents, 2 kids 9 / 12) had a very good stay at Rueben's. The location is an ideal hub to visit Loch Ness, the Cairngorms and Inverness. The lodges are in a quite and very pretty mini park, where kids can play and adults can relax... Our lodge was clean and pleasant. It is a couple of minutes on foot to a small supermarket, cafe and a bar. Host Steven is very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Rueben's Retreat.

I’ve stayed in the Carrbridge Lodges many times over the years and have seen it change ownership three times! With this most recent change I’ve seen nothing but improvement upon an excellent service, the Chalet’s are spotless and welcoming and very well equipped, the garden and Lochan are enchanting as always, I spent many a peaceful hour just observing the Beauty and tranquility of it all, watching the Red Squirrels scurry about, and Mother Duck with her 10 ducklings swimming around on the Lochan. This place is Truly enchanting and I’ve no doubt that I will be returning for many years to come. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Another magical family trip to Ruebens 💖 We had the most chilled and relaxed family time in their beautiful, well equipped, spotless lodges with woodland walks, Landmark, shops and eateries all within a few minutes walk. Needless to say we will be back very soon. Highly recommended for a great family getaway.

We had a fantastic stay in the Silver Birch Lodge it is stunning and finished to a high standard and has everything you need as well as neinf spotless. The location is so beautiful. Our 3 year old loved watching the Ducks and even found an egg in the nest on the island, he also loved exploring the woods especially finding a Dinosaur on the way back. So peaceful and relaxing but not to far out the way. We enjoyed a visit to Landmark which is within walking distance. We will definitely recommend to friends & family and hope to return again ourselves xx

Many thanks to Steven, Claire and Reuben - and the perfect housekeeper of course - for continuing to provide high quality Lodge accommodation in Carrbridge. I have returned here for a number of years, every six months and staying for usually 2 weeks at a time. The Retreat never fails to be the pivotal point of enjoyment for my get-away holidays in the UK. Comfortable, clean, secure, absolutely relaxing, fully equipped accommodation (in case you are weather-bound for a few days or have to get to the elusive ending of that frustrating book you've been reading). As the saying goes "I'll be back".

We spent the weekend with other members of our family on the site. It is very peaceful and beautiful. Lots to do in the area, we took the children gokarting, and up to Inverness for the flume pool. The lodges are comfortable and well furnished. Plenty of hot water and cooking facilities were really good. We had good weather so we gathered together on the benches to eat together. The weekend went by very quickly, it was relaxing and everyone enjoyed themselves, the site is a credit to the owners. Many thanks to them.

We booked three lodges for a family gathering over a long weekend. My husband and I stayed in Silverbirch. It is well equipped with all that we needed. Well thought out position as part of the site overlooking the large pond and lawns. We were very comfortable, lucky with very sunny hot September days. Can report it is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. we had our rescue labradors with us and there are many walks around the surrounding woodlands to take the family. I was up at 6.30am to take the doges out and there were two deer standing watching me across the other side of the pond, before they turned and jumped the fence into the woods. The site is perfectly located for Landmark, the village of Carrbridge and its historic bridge. The Spar shop in the village has everything you might need…. Marshmallows for the barbecue, fresh vegetables, dairy, wine and beer. Back to Reubens Retreat… don’t hesitate to book your break, you won't be disappointed, we will be back to enjoy more fun with the family. Thank you Steven, Claire and Reuben for your hard work to provide a lovely place to stay.

We have just returned from Reubens Speyside staying in Redwood. It was a peaceful setting when we arrived, and remained so throughout our week. The chalet was well equipped with everything and very comfortable. Any faults ? Oh go on, then. The knives in the kitchen need sharpening, and there is no clock in the living area. But hey, if those are the only snags then just imagine how many other Scottish venues would be green with envy.

Stayed for a long weekend in July. The site hit all the right spots for being quiet, wildlife, out of the hustle bustle but also just a walk to town. Ideal for Landmark and Aviemore. I was absolutely delighted with the cleanliness of the lodge we were in. Things like washing up liquid, tin foil, dish towel, hand soap etc makes a self catering stay so much easier. WiFi was a bonus! Owners were on hand and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay! We’ve already been recommending the site to family and friends.
