The chalets overlook a wee lochan nestled beside Ellan Wood, a lovely wood for walking. There are even ducks that visit for food. The chalets are very close to the village main street and a drive from Inverness, Aviemore and the surrounding area. The chalets are very well designed, maintained and comfortable to be in. The bedrooms were an adequate size and double bed very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils and crockery. Everywhere was very clean. Management is on site . We look forward to a return visit and thank you for such a lovely stay.

We stayed for a wedding and it was fantastic - the accommodation had everything we needed, was clean and well stocked. And the location was perfect - absolute tranquility. Would def stay here again!

We have visited Carrbridge many times but never stay at Reuben's Highland Retreat before and we're so glad we've now had that pleasure - the accommodation was absolutely spotless, had everything we needed and more. The setting is so peaceful it's almost surreal and the surroundings speak for themselves - beautiful woodland and nearby hillwalking, mountain biking etc. The owners were incredibly accommodating, even coming to our rescue with a minor emergency moments before a wedding ceremony! We will definitely be returning to stay at this perfect wee place 🙂

We recently got married in Carrbridge and had all 6 lodges at Reubens Highland Retreat....
Wow Claire and Steven went above and beyond to make our stay special .
I stayed in both a 2 bed lodge and a 3 bed lodge and they are all decorated to a high standard with everything you need for a stay - cooker, toaster, microwave all crockery etc.
The Xbox was a great hit with my 9 year old.
The grounds are immaculate and we even used them for our official photographs.
If considering a stay at the lodges or garden flat then definitely book it

Fantastic property, thank you for allowing us to stay. Spent 3 nights with our young grand children, whilst visiting Landmark. Only 8-10 mins walk away!
Property had everything we needed to be comfortable and feel right at home.
Area very quiet and relaxing. Beautiful view of pond and trees from livingroom and main bedroom, or when sitting outside on seats or picnic bench.
Highly recommend, and hope to be able to return again. 🌟

Reubens Retreat is a brilliant place to stay with family .The children loved running round the pond and feeding the ducks . We had a family gathering and Steven couldn't be more helpful with all our requests and his suggestions were spot on. The nearby trails are quiet and easy to walk or cycle round ,we even saw a red squirrel outside our lodge which made my day.
I would definitely recommend these lodges and will be back for another peaceful break.

Another great stay at Reuben’s highland retreat weather was wonderful & the surrounding were pleasant enjoying the scenery & walks with the dogs listening to the bird life in the Forrest’s the are all around the cabins the Facilties were splendid in providing all that you need ,we were only up as a couple but the place is ideal for a family ( have attended many other places like centre parks venues , holiday Carvan sites over the years finding the retreat offering more ) lovely place to chill out & relax .
Owners always at hand to give you guidance on where to visit in the area very friendly creating the right holiday Experience's at Reuben’s highland retreat weather.

Just a wonderful place! The lodges are perfect...comfy, spotlessly clean, warm (important in the winter in the Highlands!) & kitted out with all that you would need.
The setting is beautiful & very chilled. Its the perfect balance for a wee getaway of peace & seclusion but only a short walk to a great friendly pub, well stocked shop for supplies and some INCREDIBLE walks in the stunning Speyside landscape. Cant wait to return!

Amazing stay at best lodges we have stayed at in Highlands
Picture postcard views of forest and pond
Best sleep in many years so peaceful and super comfortable beds and bedding
Fully equipped kitchen even has washing machine and microwave
Spotlessly clean
Great size plenty of room for whole family
Nothing hasn't been thought off and exceptionally helpful friendly and kind hosts
4 min walk to lovely local pub with great food and lovely coffee shop
Will definitely be back

We are just back from a short break at Reuben’s Highland Retreat. We had the most amazing time in this little corner of Heaven. The lodges are situated in a very peaceful area near Aviemore, close to so many attractions and amenities. The lodges are very cosy and clean, equipped of all you need for your stay. Steven and Claire are very helpful and wonderful hosts. If you are considering a visit in Aviemore or nearby, this is the place to stay! Simply perfect! Barbara, Sergio, Luca and Emma.

What a stunning stay we had!
The lodge had everything we needed, spacious well equipped, clean and warm.
It was lovely and quiet and really picturesque especially in the snow.
Good spot to stay for Aviemore and the mountain range, however we didn’t get to visit due to strong winds and snow, that just means we will have to re-visit!
The local pub was great too and served lovely food.
We managed a spot of star gazing just outside the lodge too.

this was our second visit which was better than the first 50 years ago we spent our honeymoon in silver birch and our 50th anniversary in the same cabin we had a very nice welcome from Steven and Clair would highly recommend this place for a peaceful and relaxing holiday no need to bring anything its all there thankyou both

We absolutely loved our stay in the Speyside lodges! From the very beginning, Steven was incredibly helpful and friendly when I booked over the phone as well as when I made adjustments to my booking. The lodges are cosy, clean and very well-equipped, in a beautiful setting but also close to everything you need. Storm Amy got in the way of plans we had to get out and about but I think our whole group was delighted with the excuse to relax together indoors. Thank you so much for such a great stay, we will recommend to anyone visiting the area and will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay. The lodges were clean, very comfortable, and set in a lovely location. There are plenty of great walks nearby, making it perfect for anyone who enjoys getting outdoors, and it’s only a short stroll to find food and drinks, which was really convenient. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to relax and unwind we’d definitely recommend it and will 100% return.

We have been staying at Reuben’s resort Carrbridge formerly Fairwinds under previous ownership for many years and our recent stay was just as enjoyable and peaceful as all before with the benefit of refurbished chalets well equipped and clean. Local facilities include a shop, Local inn and cafe with excellent menus, the Landmark activity centre easy access to Cairngorms and forest walks from the doorstep. We will be back again and particularly recommend to families with children of all ages .

We (2 parents, 2 kids 9 / 12) had a very good stay at Rueben's. The location is an ideal hub to visit Loch Ness, the Cairngorms and Inverness. The lodges are in a quite and very pretty mini park, where kids can play and adults can relax... Our lodge was clean and pleasant. It is a couple of minutes on foot to a small supermarket, cafe and a bar. Host Steven is very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Rueben's Retreat.

From arrival to going home we had the most enjoyable stay. Our chalet was comfortable spotless and very well equipped. The tranquility of grounds was amazing. Can't recommend it highly enough and we'll definitely be back ❤️

I’ve stayed in the Carrbridge Lodges many times over the years and have seen it change ownership three times! With this most recent change I’ve seen nothing but improvement upon an excellent service, the Chalet’s are spotless and welcoming and very well equipped, the garden and Lochan are enchanting as always, I spent many a peaceful hour just observing the Beauty and tranquility of it all, watching the Red Squirrels scurry about, and Mother Duck with her 10 ducklings swimming around on the Lochan. This place is Truly enchanting and I’ve no doubt that I will be returning for many years to come. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
