We have just returned from Reubens Speyside staying in Redwood. It was a peaceful setting when we arrived, and remained so throughout our week. The chalet was well equipped with everything and very comfortable. Any faults ? Oh go on, then. The knives in the kitchen need sharpening, and there is no clock in the living area. But hey, if those are the only snags then just imagine how many other Scottish venues would be green with envy.

Stayed for a long weekend in July. The site hit all the right spots for being quiet, wildlife, out of the hustle bustle but also just a walk to town. Ideal for Landmark and Aviemore. I was absolutely delighted with the cleanliness of the lodge we were in. Things like washing up liquid, tin foil, dish towel, hand soap etc makes a self catering stay so much easier. WiFi was a bonus! Owners were on hand and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay! We’ve already been recommending the site to family and friends.

My son and I had a great stay at Reubens. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The location is brilliant (right next to the forest and Landmark) and it was lovely and peaceful to wake up amongst the trees in the morning. The staff were great and really accomodative, checking with us to see everything was fine. Would love to visit again. Neil

Family of 5 with 3 teenage boys. We had a lovely 4 night stay in the Maple lodge. Lodge nice and clean, beds very comfy. Peaceful location and enjoyed watching the ducks, rabbits and red squirrels. We were lucky with the weather and lots to do in the area. Landmark a 5 min walk away, went karting, zip adventuring, visited the green loch and local walks. Ate at Andersons restaurant at Goat of garden - would really recommend but must book. Site is next to the woods with lovely walks. Will return. Thank you.

We had a 3 day stay at the pinewood lodge, as a family of 4 with a 7 year old and 6 month old baby, also 2 dogs! The lodges are fantastic, very clean and very well equipped, great location and great surroundings, my son enjoyed watching the wildlife, deer, squirrels, rabbits and baby ducklings and walking through the forest, very relaxing view whilst sitting having breakfast in the lodge in the mornings. The owners are incredibly helpful and nothing was an issue, they also very kindly returned a pair of sunglasses we had left behind when we left. Would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be returning in the future. Ideal location for Landmark park, only 5 minute walk.

Just back from a great weeks holiday at Ruebens and can recommend it wholeheartedly. Being disabled the owners have rental scooters and walkers readily available so I was able to get out and about. The lodges are extra clean and comfortable with plenty of extras including x box facilities and games for the children. The scenery from your seat on the outside area is breathtaking with so many walks through the forest round about. Being able to walk into the local shop and eateries enables you to meet and enjoy the locals and visitors. Would highly recommend a visit.

This was our 2nd visit to Ruebens Speyside Retreat. It did not disappoint again!!! Great family time spent together. We hired 4 lodges from the ages of 12 to 83. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, Pond views, Woodland walks, stunning scenery and uplifting wildlife from ducklings, red squirrels, rabbits, hawks and deer. Our hosts Stephen, Claire and Rueben, couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The lodges were more than well equipped and extremely comfortable. Close to Aviemore but enough going on in Carrbridge that you could relax and walk to enjoy what Carrbridge has to offer. Extra facilities from mobility equipment, bike hire and very skilled and experienced hairdressing appointments which were all used. Thanks Ruebens for everything. We have already rebooked again for this year 🌻🦋🦆☀️💖

This is my 2nd time at Reuben’s retreat & certainly not disappointed with the surroundings & location it helped with getting great weather in completing the many walks around car bridge from our last visit in February the owners have made some positive changes to the place to make our stay pleasant comfortable ( lodges very comfy & spot less ) internet been upgraded , introduced mobility aids (scooters ,walking wheel frames ) helped my 81 yr old mother in law to go with family to local amenities & most of the walks in the surrounding forests , they have made some simple improvements to allow family's to enjoy their stay & enjoy the local wild life ( improvements to pond & tree management) enticing red squirrels in the grounds that we saw a couple of times along with deer . All local amenities are all easy to reach be it the Cairngorms parks ,hills , local lochs of the highlands . Local karting / quad bikes faculties all within 20 mins drive ( kids really enjoyed ) Landmark venue for the family walking distance ( 5mins ) can hire cycles from the retreat to go around the many cycle paths in the area .The local dinning in cartridge very good & made welcome by staff ( great friendly pub 5 mins walk ) Offering a good varied menu ( Gluten free options ) had great time in the beautiful tranquil location waking up to the birds singing every morning ,certainly will be going back with the family . Thanks Stephen , Clair for your efforts

Our first time staying and we will definitely be back. We stayed in a lodge called Willow, very clean and tidy with everything you would need for a stay. The setting was like a Disney movie, very picturesque and we sat and watched lots of wildlife including red squirrels from the decking. Lovely walking routes around the lodge and it was very handy for Aviemore and local attractions. Could not fault the place and great value! Staff were lovely and we even got given some feed so our wee lass could feed the ducks, a nice touch!

My wife and I and dog spent 4 nights in Silver Birch Lodge. The cabin was very comfortable although I did have difficulty with the heating controls and the oven switches until I found the cooker instructions in the kitchen drawer! The setting is beautiful especially with the woodland adjacent. I would recommend that you explore the woods - good paths and signs so you won't get lost. In the village the SPAR shop is very handy and reasonably well stocked. The Carrbridge Kitchen is only open till mid-afternoon but does quality breakfast, coffee and lunches. There's lots to see and do in the area - you'll enjoy your stay.

This is the first time we have stayed at Reubens retreat . We were at the Speyside area. We had a very enjoyable weekend. The owners were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The cabin is set in a beautiful woodland area with a pond making a very relaxing holiday. Landmark adventure park and shops are within walking distance so very convenient for essential items when self catering. Would definately recomend and hope to return again in the future. Would just recommend bumper bars on top bunk beds if there are small children within a party

Having visited the family's delightful accommodation in Arisaig, we were excited to visit their new venture, which I may add did not disappoint. Our lodge was very clean, cosy, beds very comfortable and had every thing you need to self cater. Outside, it is a beautiful, tranquil setting and whilst the new owners are making improvements to the site they are doing so without causing harm to the surrounding flora and fauna. Looking forward to our return.

As a returning guest, many thanks to new owners and hosts - Claire and Steven - for the welcome, pleasant conversation and of course for the presentation of excellent facilities. They have started to put their own vision of improvements, slant and stamp on a wonderful holiday hub in the Highlands. It is hard to find anything else in the area with all attributes, such as the great quality, tranquility and cost effectiveness of #Reubenshighlandretreat. I look forward to my return visit.

What a very special place ❤️ Location and views are stunning. Extremely comfortable, well equipped and spacious lodges in a beautiful setting. Lots of things to do close by, cycling, skiing, quads, golfing, hiking, Landmark, Aviemore, Inverness and loads more. We had a very chilled and happy family break with lots of woodland walks on site. Our hosts Stephen, Claire and Rueben couldn't have been more helpfull especially sourcing equipment to help with my Mums mobility issues. We can't thankyou enough. We will definitely be back very soon 🙂

We had a 3 night stay in the cabin in order to spend time with the family in the area. We stayed in a 6 bed cabin which had a very tranquil setting overlooking a large lovely grassy area ( ideal for kids’ play’ edged by a pond and woods. The cabin was spotless with very comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen - even an emergency sewing kit was provided. It is a great base from which to explore the Cairngorm National Park area. There are lots of woodland walks nearby and Landmark is a short distance away. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We would have no hesitation in returning and intend to do so.
