Welcome to Reuben’s Highland Retreat – Speyside, six self-catering holiday lodges and a Garden Flat set in peaceful natural woodland around our enchanting lochan in the heart of Carrbridge, Cairngorms National Park. Our family-run retreat is the perfect base for exploring the Cairngorms and the many attractions of the Scottish Highlands.

Formerly part of the Fairwinds Hotel and Chalet Complex, our holiday lodges and gardens are nestled in a secluded woodland setting in the centre of the lovely village of Carrbridge. Landmark Forest Adventure Park is just a five-minute walk away, along with the well-stocked village shop, pub and cafés.

We are perfectly located for exploring Aviemore, Cairngorm Mountain, Rothiemurchus Estate, Loch Insh and Loch Morlich watersports centres, and the Highland Wildlife Park. Inverness is only 30 minutes away and Loch Ness and the hunt for Nessie is only 45 minutes by car.

Sleeping four or six people in each, our lodges have been sympathetically developed to provide excellent standards of self-catering comfort, in beautiful, mature and extensive grounds. The chalets are private and well spread out, and all take advantage of differing elevated positions to fully exploit the charming environment. All are fully equipped for a special holiday, ideal for a relaxing break or an activity packed family adventure. There are plenty of open areas for play or relaxation and lovely walks in and from the grounds through the neighbouring forest.

If you are traveling with an elderly relative then you might consider hiring an all-terrain mobility scooter so the grandparents can keep up with the kids on the woodland trails!

Our chalets are well maintained and fully equipped for a short break or longer holiday. We are constantly working on a programme of improvements and upgrades to make your visit even more enjoyable.
